Sustainabilty

Over-consumption is at the root of the planet’s environmental crisis; it worsens climate breakdown and increases air pollution, exhausting the planets support systems. Changes to land and sea use have been significantly altered in the last 40 years, and we see areas that are highly significant for wildlife turned into food crop production.
Reducing food waste would help cut the amount of land needed for farming, mitigate climate change and help reduce the impacts of the biodiversity crisis by increasing habitats on agricultural land.
We want to help nurture all the varieties of life that can be found on Earth (plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms) as well as the communities that they form and the habitats in which they live.
At Good Earth, we aim to positively impact society and the environment by moulding our business around sustainable practices to channel positive earth energy!
We are Soil Association Organic certified and ensure all our packaging does not damage or reduce the productivity of natural ecosystems.
Our mailing boxes and bags are FSC certified and totally chlorine-free. Our seed boxes are made from recycled stock that is process chlorine-free. Our seed packets and paper stock are a bi-product of agricultural waste and are elemental chlorine-free. Our peat-free soil blocks are a bi-product of the coconut industry. All our stickers are printed on a corn starch hemp, linen mix, or FSC rated paper using soy, vegetable or water-based inks that do not contain nasty solvents.
Our seed trays are made from mycelium and are fully compostable. You can choose to re-use them or plant them in the ground. In the garden, mycelium helps increase nutrients available to plants, improve water efficiency, reduce erosion by acting as a cellular net and promote root growth by adding oxygen to the soil and releasing nitrogen, phosphate, and other micronutrients. You can put our packaging directly in the soil since they will decompose with the help of bacteria and worms.

Our club t-shirts are produced exclusively from organic cotton, and the entire production process is controlled and certified in accordance with the latest version of Global Organic Standard (GOTS). All products are labelled as Organic and approved by the Soil Association.

Everything we do is either compostable, biodegradable or recyclable.
